Crankshaft Grinding Machine and Software
Features
Crankshaft Grinder
- The TMC crankshaft grinding machine is a CNC grinding machine capable of performing rough, finish, and cylindrical non-cylindrical grinding operations required for product processing. Additionally, it allows for the importation of various 3D machining models or CAD drawings using dedicated CAM software, enabling quick design and processing.
- The TMC grinding machine can be adjusted to meet the following equipment specifications for different job requirements:.
- - The selection of X and Z-axis working areas, wheel sizes, presence or absence of steady-rest, and the number of them allows for compatibility with various types of workpieces.
- - An additional gantry robot (or multi-joint robot) device can be installed, which helps save manpower and time during loading and unloading operations.
- - The dressing device and automatic calibration function extend the lifespan of grinding tools and enhance processing quality.
- - Furthermore, by adding a measuring device, the accuracy of workpieces can be monitored in real-time, ensuring quality assurance.
MARPOSS
- Using high-precision MARPOSS (or alternative upon customer request) ensures high reliability.
- When using the measuring device, it is possible to measure critical dimensions of the product in real-time, and the measured data can be stored.
TMC CAM - Crankshaft Software
- TMC CAM - Crankshaft is a proprietary software developed by our company. It allows for the importation of shape information data files for cylindrical, non-cylindrical, and crankshaft components, as well as 3D modeling files or CAD drawings, enabling efficient processing. Furthermore, within the software, the shape information generator and editor can be utilized to design new products, and it automatically generates the required G-code for final grinding in formats such as FANUC, Siemens, and others.
- TMC CAM - Crankshaft features a user-friendly interface that provides intuitive access to the product's 2D shape and 3D modeling capabilities. It also offers machining simulation functionality, allowing for verification of the product's design prior to actual processing. This helps minimize machining errors, and with the shape information editor, modifications can be quickly accommodated to address any required changes.
- Furthermore, TMC CAM - Crankshaft allows for the addition of multiple stages of refined cutting conditions, enabling faster and more efficient processing.
- - Different grinding wheels can be selected for each stage, reducing the time required for rough and finish grinding.
- - Each stage can be configured with parameters such as feed rate, depth of cut per revolution, grinding speed and spark-out cycles.
- - The software internally handles the shape profile using Cubic-Spline processing, resulting in smooth curve shapes. When generating G-code, it can output subdivided angles with a precision of up to 0.01 degrees.
- - Cutting speeds can be set for each specific area, and the provided automatic calculation function helps achieve higher precision in the final product.
- - Reading of dressing status in real-time and wheel data allows for the generation of G-code, minimizing unnecessary processing time and improving the accuracy of the product.
The Expectations and Benefits
- - Improved productivity and accuracy in product design.
- - Reduced time from conceptualization to machining, leading to increased economic efficiency and overall effectiveness through shortened tact time.
- - Ability to produce high-precision and high-quality products.
- - By retrofitting manual grinding machines with the software, it is possible to convert them into CNC shape grinding machines at minimal cost.
